Romania's economy advances 4.7pct in H1 2019, fuelled by consumption

Romania's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the first six months of 2019 by 4.7pct in unadjusted terms and by 4.8pct when adjusted for seasonality, compared with H1 2018, mainly fuelled by household consumption, according to provisional data released on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Greek current account surplus shrinks in September, tourism revenues steady

Greece's current account balance showed a smaller surplus in September compared to the same month a year ago on the back of a wider deficit in the balance of goods, driven by a rise in oil imports, the Bank of Greece said on Tuesday.

Central bank data showed the surplus shrank to 551 million euros from a surplus of 978 million euros in September 2017.

For 10 Years, Households' Financial Assets in Bulgaria Jumped Threefold

The total financial assets of households and non-governmental organizations in the European Union have reached € 33 850 billion in 2016, Eurostat data show. They include mainly insurance, pensions and other similar instruments (38.8% of all), currency and deposits (30.4%), shares and units in investment funds (25.2%).
