BELGRADE - The Serbian dinar's official median exchange rate against the euro is 117.2840 dinars for one euro on Thursday, which is a slight change from Wednesday, the National Bank of Serbia said.

The dinar is steady against the euro m-o-m, up by 0.2 pct y-o-y and steady relative to the beginning of the year.

The post-pandemic financial climate has also paved the way for growth opportunities for investors. According to experts, the recession in Europe has caused investments to change hands, especially in the tourism sector, and Turkish companies are among those looking for hotels in this environment.

Türkiye is ranked fourth globally among tourism destinations in 2022, according to a leading international tourism organization.

According to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), 963 million people traveled in 2022, while the total expenditure was $1.1 trillion.

Wednesday's narrow session at the Athens stock market saw the benchmark come off Tuesday's 104-month high and after negligible fluctuation it closed with a small drop, though the losing stocks outnumbered those that notched up gains. 

The growing use of plastic money by Greek consumers for transactions in brick-and-mortar stores or e-commerce is strengthening the appetite of certain people for intercepting card details and embezzling larger amounts.

The Cypriot economy maintained strong momentum in the first quarter of 2023 with real GDP registering an annual growth rate of 3.4%, marking signs of a slowdown against the backdrop of the uncertain external environment and the restrictive monetary policy by the European Central Bank in a bid to wrestle inflation under control.
