Furious diplomacy in efforts to bridge Greek, German division
Top European officials were engaged in furious diplomacy on Friday to build a bridge between fiercely divided Greek and German ministers whose agreement is needed to solve a bitter row over Greeces huge debt.
Spiegel: ECB prepares for a Greece exit from euro zone
The European Central Bank is preparing for the event that Greece leaves the euro zone and its staff are readying contingency plans for how the rest of the bloc could be kept intact, German news magazine Spiegel reported in a preview of its magazine.
The ECB declined to comment on the report.

Greek FinMin: gov't has gone 'the extra 10 miles' in meeting creditor demands
Arriving for what promises to be another tense Eurogroup summit in Brussels on Friday, Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said the Greek government "has gone not the extra mile" but "the extra 10 miles" in honoring the demands of the country's creditors.
"Hopefully at the end of this we?ll come out with some white smoke," he said.

The Greek delegation is optimistic prior to the Eurogroup. According to sources, an informal negotiation team between IMF’s Christine Lagarde, the EC’s Pier Moscovici and Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem was formed to act as mediators between FinMins Yanis Varoufakis and Wolfgang Schaeuble.
Merkel seeks 'improvements' to Greek loan extension proposal
German Chancellor Angela Merkel indicated that "improvements" were needed to the substance of a proposal submitted by Greece for an extension to its loan agreement a few hours before a crucial meeting of eurozone finance ministers in Brussels.

Eurogroup meeting delayed due to meeting of ‘four’
A crucial Eurogroup session will begin with a 90-minute delay due to a previously unscheduled meeting of Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Yanis Varoufakis, Christine Lagarde and Wolfgang Schaeuble. Therefore, the regular Eurogroup itself will start at 15:30 GMT.
The delay was announced by Eurogroup head Jeroen Dijsselbloem through his Twitter account.
