COVID-19 measures beneficial to marine biodiversity: Expert
After fishing activities have been banned within the scope measures against the coronavirus outbreak, the number and diversity of fish in Turkish seas will increase, according to an expert.
Ertuğ Düzgüneş from Karadeniz Technical University said the fish population will reproduce during the spawning period of May and June without any fishing activity.
Greek fishermen make fresh allegations about Turkish harassment
Greek fishermen have reportedly been harassed by a Turkish Coast Guard vessel inside Greece's territorial waters.
Video footage shared by Antenna TV Wednesday shows Turkish Coast Guard members on an inflatable vessel trying to intimidate the Greek fishing boat off the southeastern Aegean island of Kalymnos.
One more body found days after Bosphorus crash
Body of another fisher was found on Jan. 14 days after three crew members of a Turkish fishing boat went missing in a collision in Istanbul's Bosphorus Strait.
"Body of I.D., one of the missing fishers, has been recovered [from the sea]," the Office of Istanbul Governor said in a statement.
His body was recovered from some 77-meter (252 feet) depth.

Body of missing fisherman found in Agiokampos
A 64-year-old fisherman who had gone missing in the coastal area of the regional unit of Larisa on Tuesday night was found dead on Thursday, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.
The man was reportedly found wrapped in fishing nets near a hanging bridge at the beach resort of Agiokampos.
Coast guard officers and an ambulance arrived at the scene to collect the body.
