Balkan Leaders Express Sympathy Over Barcelona Attack
Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic said more international co-operation is needed to prevent terrorist attacks after suspected Islamists killed at least 13 people and injured over 100 in Barcelona in two separate attacks on Thursday.
Serbian PM offers condolences in wake of Barcelona attack
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has sent a letter of condolences to Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, on the occasion of a terrorist attack in Barcelona.
"I was shaken by the news of a terrorist attack in Barcelona, where innocent people were killed and a large number of people were injured," Brnabic wrote, according to the Serbian government.
Turkey strongly condemns Barcelona terror attack
Turkey has strongly condemned the terror attack in central Barcelona that left at least 13 people dead and dozens of others injured on Aug. 17.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan offered condolences to the Spanish king on Aug. 17 following the attack.

Greek PM expresses sympathy with Spanish people over terrorist attack
Greek PM Alexis Tsipras tweeted out his support to the families of the victims of the Barcelona terrorist attack and his solidarity to the Spanish people. “These dare ifficult times. The thoughts of all of us are in Barcelona. We express our solidarity with the Spanish people and our sympathy with the families of the victims”, the PM wrote.
Actor Dimitris Siachos dies at 44
Greek actor Dimitris Siachos has died at the age of 44 after a long life battle with cancer. Siachos was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of 24, and while doctors at the time gave him little hope, his will for life proved stronger. The disease appeared again when he turned 43 last year.
