Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic said more international co-operation is needed to prevent terrorist attacks after suspected Islamists killed at least 13 people and injured over 100 in Barcelona in two separate attacks on Thursday.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has sent a letter of condolences to Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, on the occasion of a terrorist attack in Barcelona.

"I was shaken by the news of a terrorist attack in Barcelona, where innocent people were killed and a large number of people were injured," Brnabic wrote, according to the Serbian government.

Turkey has strongly condemned the terror attack in central Barcelona that left at least 13 people dead and dozens of others injured on Aug. 17.       

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan offered condolences to the Spanish king on Aug. 17 following the attack.

Greek PM Alexis Tsipras tweeted out his support to the families of the victims of the Barcelona terrorist attack and his solidarity to the Spanish people. “These dare ifficult times. The thoughts of all of us are in Barcelona. We express our solidarity with the Spanish people and our sympathy with the families of the victims”, the PM wrote.

Greek actor Dimitris Siachos has died at the age of 44 after a long life battle with cancer. Siachos was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of 24, and while doctors at the time gave him little hope, his will for life proved stronger. The disease appeared again when he turned 43 last year.

U.S. Ambassador to Turkey John Bass said on July 13 that Washington continued to lend support to Ankara's efforts to bring those who are responsible for the last year's failed coup attempt to justice.

Acting PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has sent a telegram of condolences to British PM Theresa May on the occasion of the terrorist attacks in London.

Turkey's Foreign Ministry on June 4 condemned the London terror attacks that claimed seven lives and wounded 48 others.   

"We condemn the attacks that were flagrantly committed in the strongest possible terms," the ministry said in a statement, reiterating Ankara's support for the U.K. in the fight against terrorism.

Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos expressed his abhorrence over the London terrorist attacks Saturday night that cost the lives of seven people and the injury of at least 48 others.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has sent a message of condolences to British Queen Elizabeth II in the wake of the Manchester terror attack, noting that Serbia condemns in the strongest terms the heinous attack against civilians.
