President Katerina Sakellaropoulou has condemned the deadly terrorist attack that took place in the Russian capital on Friday that killed at least 143 people.

"I express my horror and unequivocal condemnation of the deadly terrorist attack on civilians in Moscow," she said, in a statement.

The Greek Foreign Ministry has expressed condolences to the relatives of the victims of Wednesday's school shooting in the Serbian capital of Belgrade, in which nine people were killed. 

The ministry wrote on Twitter that they were "utterly devastated by the news of the shooting attack."

The University of Crete has announced the passing of Professor Thanasis Feidas, who was found dead in his office on Tuesday evening. 

The 65-year-old had been working in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics since 1991. 

Colleagues discovered his body after his partner expressed concern about his whereabouts. 

Athens has expressed its dismay following the mass shooting in the northern German city of Hamburg Thursday.

Hellenic Institute (AHI) President Nick Larigakis released the following statement:

"The American Hellenic Institute expresses its sincerest condolences to the people of Greece for the tragic loss of life suffered from the horrific train collision that occurred in Tempe.

BELGRADE- Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic signed a book of condolences at the Syrian embassy in Belgrade on Monday in the wake of a devastating earthquake in Syria.

"The Republic of Serbia and its citizens share the pain of the citizens of Syria who have lost their loved ones in this enormous tragedy, in the hope that survivors will find the strength for a new beginning."

Greece expressed its condolences on Wednesday over the helicopter crash in a residential area near the capital of Kyiv that killed Ukraine's interior minister and about a dozen other people, including a child on the ground.

Pope Francis sent a telegram to King Charles III to offer condolences

Turkey on Sept. 20 condemned the deadly shooting at a university in Russia.

"We condemn the attack that took place [on Sept. 20] within the premises of the Perm State University which resulted in loss of lives of eight people and left many wounded," a Foreign Ministry statement said.

The US voiced its condolences on July 30 to Turkey as Ankara battles dozens of wildfires across the country that have so far claimed four lives.
