Istanbul stock exchange ends week at over 100,000 points
Turkey's benchmark index advanced by 0.25 percent to stand at 100,440.39 points at the close of June 30, marking a 0.80-percent rise compared with last week.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index posted its highest "week close" with a 250.08-point increase, while the total trading volume was 4.1 billion Turkish Liras (approximately $1.16 billion).
IFC invests in Turkey's first mortgage covered bond in lira to boost green mortgages
The IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, has said it is investing $150 million equivalent of Turkish Liras in covered bonds issued by Turkey's Garanti Bank, in a bid to help boost the development of green buildings in the country's housing sector.
Borsa Istanbul hits 25-month high
Turkey's benchmark index was up 1,322.94 points to close at 91,044.99 on March 6, marking its highest level in just over two years.
The BIST 100 index rose 1.47 percent with a total trading volume of 4 billion Turkish Liras (approximately $1.08 billion).

BBVA acquires more shares in Garanti
Spanish lender Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) has acquired 41.79 million shares in Garanti Bank from Doğuş Holding and Doguş Araştırma Geliştirme ve Müşavirlik Hizmetleri at a cost of 7.95 Turkish Liras per share.

EBRD to back Turkish firms led by females
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide 50 million euros through Garanti Bank to Turkish companies led by women which have limited access to credit, the bank said on Dec. 28.
The financing comes under the Finance and Advice for Women program, co-funded by the European Union, EBRD, and Republic of Turkey.

Turkish tennis player Ca?la Büyükakçay became the first Turkish player to win a WTA tournament following a victory over Montenegro's Danka Kovinic in the final of the TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Cup International Women's tournament on April 24.
Büyükakçay, 26, defeated 21-year-old Kovinic 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 at Garanti Koza Arena in Istanbul.
Spain's BBVA seeking another Turkish lender to buy: CEO
Spain's BBVA, which has a majority stake in Turkey's Garanti Bank, is looking to buy another bank in the country, BBVA chief Carlos Torres Vila has said.
BBVA is not actively in talks as there are no banks for sale, but Turkey is a strategic market, he said. "We want to grow in Turkey. We want to acquire another lender that will bring value to Garanti."
Foreign investors back to buying on Borsa Istanbul
Foreign investors made $100 million worth of net purchase on Borsa Istanbul, Turkey's stock exchange, in January following a selling spree of $2.5 billion in November and December 2015, according to data gathered by Anadolu Agency.
