Serbia gets four new ambassadors

BELGRADE - The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Serbia has four new ambassadors.

In a statement, it said that, following the publication of a decree signed by President Aleksandar Vucic, Aleksandra Djurovic, Aca Jovanovic, Mirjana Kotlajic and Danijel Apostolovic had been appointed Serbian ambassadors to Hungary, Turkey, Chile and the EU, respectively.

Harris thanks Greek, Cypriot envoys for their support

David Harris, the former CEO of the influential American Jewish Committee, has expressed his thanks to the Ambassadors of Cyprus and Greece to Washington for joining the march in support of Israel in the US capital.

Vui will meet with the ambassadors of the United States of America, Great Britain, France, Italy and Germany, as well as with the head of the European Union delegation.
The meeting is scheduled at 8:30 a.m., in the building of the General Secretariat, the Office for Media Relations of the president announced.

Vucic to receive credentials of three new ambassadors

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will receive the credentials of the newly-appointed ambassadors of Norway, Finland and Cambodia on Wednesday.

The president will receive the credentials of Ambassadors Kristin Melsom of Norway, Niklas Lindqvist of Finland and Bunpa Tan of Cambodia, an official statement said.

He attended the commemoration of the victims of the bombing of Belgrade in April 1941, which was held at the New Cemetery in the Alley of the Victims of the Bombing of Belgrade.
On that occasion, the U.S. Ambassador stood right next to the Russian Ambassador Alexander Botsan Kharchenko.

Pahor declines call to prevent “political” appointments of diplomats

Ljubljana – President Borut Pahor has declined the call by the Marjan Šarec List (LMŠ) not to sign a decree appointing new ambassadors ahead of the general election. He said that postponement of the appointments as part of regular rotation would be unjustified and harm the country’s foreign policy interests in the international community.
