Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis requested from the country's hospital administrators to strictly adhere to the budgets for 2024 and improve citizens' experience of the country's health services by reducing their waiting time in emergency rooms and for surgeries

The Regional Health Inspectorates, Consumer Protection Commission and the Interior Ministry will be asked to carry out mass inspections at guesthouses and hotels on the occasion of the Student Holiday celebration on 8 December. This was reported by the press office of the Ministry of Tourism.

Turkey seeks to become an epicenter of health tourism, the country's health minister said on Aug. 8.

The Health Ministry wants to hire 4,000 permanent staff, including 1,500 state hospital doctors, next year.

It made a written request to the Administrative Reform Ministry on Monday as approval is needed before the hirings can be made.

Greece is yet to meet the civil service reduction targets it agreed with the troika for this year.
