Sofia's Emergency Care Protesting Again, Despite Pay Raise Talks
Bulgarian Sofia Emergency Care staff are protesting against the low salaries and the long-lasting structural problems in their unit again, Monday morning.
Despite the Health Ministry's promise to provide additional emergency care teams and to discuss an eventual pay raise, employees have been protesting all week.

220 kilos of cocaine seized in Montenegrin port
BAR -- Customs officers in Montenegro's Port of Bar on Thursday found 220 kilograms of cocaine in a container shipped from South America.
According to the media in Podgorica, the drugs were hidden in a container transporting bananas that was "in transit to one of the neighboring countries."

BELGRADE - The UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia Irena Vojackova-Solorano has presented to the Serbian government a report by a team of international experts that warns of health risks in the wake of the recent massive floods.
The UN experts warned of health risks, potential environmental risks as well as of damage caused to agriculture, the UN team in Serbia said.

Field hospital set up in Obrenovac
BELGRADE - A field hospital, which is part of the Military Medical Academy, started working in a schoolyard in Obrenovac on Wednesday, the Ministry of Defense has announced.
This temporary healthcare facility will provide treatments for the citizens living in the flood-affected areas and members of the Serbian Armed Forces and Interior Ministry repairing the damage.
