Shock for several pensioners

Serbian industrial turnover down by 2.5 pct y-o-y in August
BELGRADE - Serbia's August 2023 industrial turnover was down by 2.5 pct relative to the same month of last year, according to figures released by the national statistical office.
Relative to the 2022 average, it was down by 2.2 pct.
By sectors, the mining sector registered a 13.2 pct turnover increase y-o-y, while the manufacturing industry turnover fell by 3.1 pct.

By sectors, the mining sector registered a 1.1 pct turnover decline y-o-y, while the manufacturing industry turnover fell by 7.3 pct.
Civil servants to get a raise
The new salary system for civil servants to be activated from January 1, 2024, provides for a horizontal increase of 60-70 euros for the 660,000 public sector employees.
According to Finance Ministry officials, it includes fundamental changes in the salaries of civil servants, with raises and the reinforcement of special salaries, especially for those in positions of responsibility.

Retail commerce turnover in Greece up 13.2% in Q1
Retail trade turnover increased by 13.2% in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the corresponding period last year, as it amounted to 14.88 billion euros, against €13.15 billion in January-March 2022.
Of course, part of this increase is related to price hikes.
