Geo-archeological project finds treasure-trove of antiquities at Methoni
Marine geophysicists from the Laboratory of Marine Geology and Physical Oceanography at the University of Patras conducted a marine geophysical and hydrographic survey off Methoni, Greece, in the Peloponnese. The survey was conducted under the auspices of the Greek Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities (Ministry of Culture and Sports), with support from Kongsberg Maritime.
Bulgaria Gives Green Light to Archaeological Research by Greek Ship Aegaeo
The Greek research ship Aegaeo will conduct an oceanographic expedition in waters under Bulgarian jurisdiction in the southwestern Black Sea from September 10 until October 14, it emerged on Wednesday.
The vessel will conduct mapping of the seabed to identify archaeological sites and discoveries, the government in Sofia said in a statement after issuing a permit for the expedition.

Turkey launches first 'homegrown' seismic ship
The first Turkish-made seismic-survey vessel, Turkuaz, which cost 300 million Turkish Liras ($115 million), was launched on March 26 in Istanbul.
Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said at a ceremony that the new vessel holds great importance for Turkey?s economic and political interests.

Parliament adopts amendments to three maritime laws
BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament adopted on Thursday the amendments to three laws on sea transport which envisage issuing identity cards for around 5,000 Serbian seamen.
The parliament also adopted amendments to the Law on Maritime Navigation, Law on Navigation and Ports on Inland Waters and the Law on Vessels Nationality and Registration.
