Turkish automotive production up 20 percent in the first half
Turkish automotive production rose 20 percent year on year to 869,158 vehicles in the first half, with output up 8 percent to 141,161 vehicles in June, Turkey's automotive producers' body said.

Vassilakis Group to buy out Hyundai Hellas
The concentration of Greek car importers continues with the signing of a provisional agreement for the acquisition of a majority stake in the P&R Davaris Group, which controls Hyundai Hellas and imports Hyundai and Kia vehicles, by the Vassilakis Group, owner of Autohellas.

Human head helmets close to production
New, chilling helmets that appear to be human heads may soon appear in the streets, worn by bikers, if Dubai-based Jyo John Mullor’s designs go into final production.
The helmets designed by the talented artist have a usual shape, but are covered by prints of shaved or bald individuals heads’ representations.

Grivita high school students design system for effortless replacement of tyres
A team of students of the Grivita Technical High School of Bucharest has designed an independent car lifting system that would save drivers time and effort when replacing tyres because of a flat. The invention will represent Romania in the European final of the Skills for the Future competition this June in Prague, the Czech Republic.
Turkish automotive exports surge 32 percent amid decline in total exports
Turkish automotive exports surged 32 percent in the first two months of the year, the Automotive Manufacturers' Association said in a statement on March 12.
From January to February 2015, auto exports reached 99,000, according to the statement.
Turkish auto output seen at record level this year
Turkish automotive production is expected to hit a record this year as a recovery in European demand drives up exports from Europeâs fifth-biggest producer, the Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD) said July 113.
