Two New Cases of West Nile Fever Confirmed in Bulgaria
On 15 August, the reference laboratory for tick-borne infections at the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases confirmed two cases of West Nile fever, said the Ministry of Health.

A 29-year-old man from Varna suffered from measles. He was admitted to the City's Infectious Diseases Clinic after being treated for a long time. This was announced by Dr. Yanka Draganova from the Regional Health Inspectorate - Varna, quoted by Focus.

The first case of West Nile fever in Bulgaria this year was reported in Montana. A 60-year-old woman with brain inflammation fell ill. The information was confirmed to the Bulgarian National Television by Prof. Dr. Todor Kantardzhiev, Director of the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.

Italian tourist dies of meningitis in Greek hospital
A 17-year-old Italian tourist died of meningitis in a hospital in Athens on Wednesday morning, according to the initial lab results conducted by the doctors.
A Greek Air Force aircraft transferred the woman from Naxos, where she was holidaying with her family, to the Nikea hospital on Tuesday, after she developed high fever and went into septic shock. She died at the hospital.

They will be done from 29 May to 19 June from 8 am to 14 pm.

Six New Cases of Measles Registered in Kyustendil Area for the Past Week
Six new cases of measles have been registered on the territory of Kyustendil region for the past week, Surveillance of Contagious Diseases Directorate, Regional Health Inspection - Kyustendil, told Focus Radio, Kyustendil. The first case of the disease was established in March. For April, cases have increased by another six, and last week there were six new cases of measles.
460 Infected with Measles in Bulgaria, 20 of them are Hospital Staff
There are currently 460 measles patients in our country, 20 of which are working in hospitals, the chief state health inspector, Dr. Angel Kunchev, told BNT. He stressed on the need to vaccinate everyone who, for their work, are more exposed to infection - not only medical but also technical and security staff.
