All New Infected with Delta Variant Are Employees of Sofia Public Transport

The seven people proven infected with the Indian variant of the coronavirus have been working in a tram depot in Sofia.

This became clear from the words of the director of the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases (NCIPD) Prof. Iva Hristova to BTV.

INSP: First death with Delta variant of novel coronavirus, recorded in Romania

The National Institute of Public Health (INSP) reported on Thursday that the first death in a COVID-19 patient infected with the Indian Delta strain of the novel coronavirus was registered in Romania. According to data published by the INSP, as of June 20, 44 cases of infections with the Indian Delta variant, considered more contagious and virulent, have been confirmed.

There are probably no other patients infected with the "Delta" version of COVID-19.

The case was dated back to May, but was announced only yesterday. This led the Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov to ask for an explanation from the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases whether there was a delay in announcing the information.

First Case of Indian Coronavirus Variant Detected in Bulgaria

The first case of an Indian variant of the coronavirus has been detected in our country, reported the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases (NCIPD).

The sample was taken from a man in the age group between 20 and 30 years old from Pleven.

The NCIPD clarifies that the patient has the right of temporary residence in the country. He didn't declare a trip abroad.

6 Districts in Bulgaria Declared Covid-19 Green Zones

Six districts in Bulgaria are now designated as Covid-19 green zone in terms of coronavirus morbidity.
