Most expensive airline ticket sold at 33,000 Turkish Liras last year
The most expensive roundtrip and one-way airline tickets for international flights were sold at 33,000 Turkish Liras and 28,000 liras, respectively in 2021, a report has shown.
Air travel gained momentum last year after countries and carriers eased most of COVID-19-related measures, said Turna.com, an online ticket sales company in its 2021 Travel Report.
Rain, strong winds disrupt daily life in Istanbul
Heavy rainfall disrupted daily life in Istanbul with strong winds taking over the Turkish metropolis as the Turkish State Meteorological Service (TSMS) issued "yellow" and "orange" alerts in 54 more provinces.
Istanbul was battered by downpours after a precipitous weather hailing from the Balkans that loomed over the city.

Anna Karenina ballet to be on stage in June
Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV) brings the Anna Karenina performance of Zurich Ballet, one of today's leading ballet ensembles, to Istanbul stage. Tickets for the event, which will take place at Zorlu PSM June on 27 and 28, will go on sale on Feb. 14.

At least 11 people have been detained in relation to the murder of a high-profile lawyer by armed assailants in Istanbul.
Şafak Mahmutyazıcıoğlu, a 42-year-old lawyer, was shot dead on Jan. 26 following a fight that broke out at a restaurant.
