KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - An SUV owned by a business man from Kosovska Mitrovica named Rados Petrovic was set on fire in this city early on Wednesday.

The pricy BMW was set on fire at a parking lot that is along the road to the city hospital just after 1 a.m. CET.

Petrovic told Tanjug that he did not know the reson for the an act.

Imams, politician among those arrested on terror charges

PRIŠTINA -- The police in Kosovo on Wednesday morning arrested 15 persons suspected of involvement in terrorism, among them the imam of the Grand Mosque in Priština.

According to the local Albanian-language media, politician Fuad Ramiqi is also among those detained.

KM mayor reveals he was target of assassination plot

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA -- Mayor of northern Kosovska Mitrovica Goran Rakić has confirmed for the Beta news agency that he was informed of a plot to assassinate him.

Rakić said the information came from the Kosovo police.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Mayor of North Kosovska Mitrovica Goran Rakic has told TV Most that the Kosovo police had informed him on Wednesday that there were preparations for his assassination.

"Some other sources have informed me that one ethnic Albanian individual has been arrested," he said, adding that he was not concerned because he had faith in the police and their efforts.

Ivanović: Monstrous, politically motivated charges

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA -- Oliver Ivanović has dismissed the charges raised against him as "monstrous, totally fabricated and politically motivated."

The Serb politician from northern Kosovo also "vowed that he and his lawyers will put up a strong fight to discredit the indictment," Tanjug has reported.
