Two arrested in probe into killing of three Turkish soldiers
Two of three suspects detained over the killing of three off-duty soldiers in the eastern province of Hakkari have been arrested.
The suspects were captured by police on Oct. 27 as a part of the operation launched after the death of the soldiers and were sent to a court in the Yüksekova district after being questioned.
18 police members released in Mersin’s illegal wiretapping investigation
Some 18 police officers, who were detained on Oct. 28 in an investigation into the illegal wiretapping of 123 people in the Mediterranean Turkish province of Mersin, were released on the condition of legal control on Oct. 31.

Western perspectives on the Kurds
The highly anticipated corridor for the Peshmarga fighters has finally opened and they have marched into Turkish soil to move into Kobane. It all looked like a long wedding procession. As BBC and CNN International broadcast the crossing, ordinary Turks who only watch TV series or football matches were not able to see even a glimpse of it on their favorite channels.

Killing of soldier in Diyarbakır deepens concerns amid rising PKK violence

President Erdoğan due to hold his first security council meeting
President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄan will chair his first National Security Council (MGK) meeting on Oct. 30 since becoming president in August.
