EU executive plans to visit Turkey in April
European Council President Charles Michel said on March 25 that he contacted Turkish officials for planning a visit to Turkey in April.
Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen spoke at a press conference after an EU leaders' summit which was held via video link and completed in one day, although two days were planned.

Janša to meet von der Leyen on Thursday
Ljubljana – Prime Minister Janez Janša will meet European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Thursday afternoon ahead of the EU summit in Brussels, the Commission said on Friday.
Janša and five other prime ministers called on von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel last week to ensure equal access to vaccines for all member states.

Angela Merkel: Vaccination certificates are being introduced; EU leaders unanimous
"Everyone agreed that we need a digital vaccination certificate," Angela Merkel said at a press conference after the EU summit, which is being held online, Reuters reports.
The German Chancellor added that the European Commission will need about three months to develop a technical basis for such documents.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced on Tuesday the disbursement of 728 million euros from its SURE unemployment scheme to Greece.

EU Commission gives final approval to AstraZeneca vaccine
The European Commission gave approval on Friday for the use of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by AstraZeneca, the final step to allowing Europe to use it across the continent.
"I expect the company to deliver the 400 million doses as agreed," Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission wrote on Twitter.
