Lapland

Lapland is a province and region in Finland with a population of nearly 190 thousand people and an area of ​​nearly 100 square kilometers. It borders Sweden, Norway, Russia and the Gulf of Bothnia, and its capital is Rovaniemi. 7 of Finland's 35 national parks are located in this province and there is also a place where you can see the extraordinary northern lights.

A large meteor made the night over Lapland into a day. The unusual phenomenon is captured by cameras that monitor the Northern Lights over the Finnish region, reports bTV.

Local band Solastas will be performing traditional songs from around the world from Scotland to Lapland and Sweden at the Poems & Crimes bookstore and music cafe on Monday, January 23. The concert starts at 9.30 p.m. and admission costs 5 euros.
