Parties spend over RSD 2 billion on elections
BELGRADE - Parties reported that they spend over RSD 2 billion on the 2014 parliamentary elections and more than 40 percent of the sum (RSD 942 million) was claimed by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) which won the majority support of the voters, Transparency Serbia released on Friday.

BRUSSELS -- Despite announcement about "a billion euros in aid from the EU solidarity fund," Serbia can hardly count on more than around EUR 10 million from this fund.

Jovanovic: I will not resign
BELGRADE - Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Cedomir Jovanovic said after a meeting of the LDP leaders that he would not resign ecause of the party's defeat in the early parliamentary election on March 16.
The party has to find inner strength and conduct the necessary organizational and staff changes, Jovanovic said after the meeting of the LDP Presidency on Thursday.

Liberals Close to Quitting Romania Coalition
Romania's centre-left coalition looked close to splitting up after Klaus Johanis, a leader of National Liberal Party, PNL, on Monday said he was “not very optimistic that the coalition will survive tomorrow.
“We failed to find a solution to the proposed cabinet changes. As a result, our party will decide on Tuesday if our ministers will leave the government or not,” he added.
