Thomas Cook has added the Greek island of Thassos to its 2016 programme with two flights a week departing on Thomas Cook Airlines every Friday from London Gatwick and Manchester.

An agreement was reached at the high-level meeting in Brussels on Sunday to temporary accommodate 100,000 refugees in the Balkans as Europe struggles to cope with the ongoing influx.

European Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn's spokesperson said the Commission regretted that Macedonia's party leaders had breached an October 6 deadline to agree electoral reforms.

The deadline was set by Hahn during his visit to Macedonia last month.
