Serbian President: Bulgarians are Resentful because We are More Popular in North Macedonia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told "Pink" television that "Bulgarians" resent Serbia because it is more popular in North Macedonia.

In the interview, Bulgaria was mentioned on a number of topics in the context of relations with its neighbors.

Brnabic: Serbia, N. Macedonia to work together on Bulgarian gas transit fee issue

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Friday Serbia and North Macedonia would work together to resolve the issue of a gas transit fee introduced by Bulgaria.

Brnabic said this at a press conference with North Macedonian counterpart Dimitar Kovacevski in Belgrade.

European Commission confirms Serbia's progress in major areas

BRUSSELS - In its annual report on Serbia, the European Commission says the country has made progress on judicial and media reforms and on aligning with the EU foreign policy, diplomatic sources have told Tanjug.

The report commends two recently adopted media strategy laws - the Law on Public Information and the Media and the Law on Electronic Media, the sources said.

Tourist visits in Serbia up by 3.3 pct y-o-y in September

BELGRADE - Serbia registered 3.3 pct more tourist visits in September 2023 relative to the same month of last year and the number of overnight stays was down by 9.5 pct, according to figures released by the national statistical office.

Overnight stays generated by Serbian tourists were down by 21.9 pct y-o-y, while those generated by foreign tourists were up by 12.8 pct y-o-y.
