Bulgaria's Outgoing Defence Minister Charged on Second Count
Sofia Military-District Prosecutor's Office has indicted outgoing Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev on charges of malfeasance.
According to the prosecution, Nenchev is responsible for a public procurement order for military uniforms which has defrauded the treasury.
Bulgaria's Outgoing Govt Approves BGN 54.6 for MiG-29 Maintenance
The outgoing government has approved the financing of the project for ensuring the flight efficiency of the MiG-29 fighter jets.
The second tranche of the funds approved for the project in the budget amounts to BGN 54.6 M. The first tranche of BGN 15.3 M was transferred at the beginning of the month.

Bulgaria's Outgoing Defence Minister Charged
"I have been handed an indictment which does not worry me at all. I am absolutely certain, convinced in everything that I have been doing over the years," stated outgoing Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev on his way out from Sofia City Investigative Service, reported BGNES.
Nenchev was summoned in relation to the contract for the repair of the engines of MiG-29 with Poland.

Outgoing Defense Minister To Be Indicted for MiG-29 Contract
Оutgoing Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev confirmed that he will be indicted on charges for the contract for the repair of fighter aircraft MIG-29 on November 23, according to the Bulgarian National Radio.
Lazanski: Serbia expects to receive 6 MiG-29, armored vehicles at huge discount
BELGRADE - Serbia is expected to receive six Russian Mikoyan MiG-29 multirole fighters and armored vehicles at a huge discount, totaling approximately $80 million, Defense analyst Miroslav Lazanski told Sputnik, commenting on unconfirmed reports that Moscow is ostensibly planning to transfer weapons to Belgrade.
Lazanski said that this is a very good bargain for Serbia.
Russian fighter crashes in Mediterranean, says Defense Ministry
Russia's Defense Ministry said Nov. 14 that a fighter jet crashed while attempting to land on the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean off Syria, but the pilot survived.
In a statement to Russian news agencies, the Defense Ministry said the MiG-29K fighter crashed due to a "technical fault" a few kilometers (miles) from the carrier.

Bulgaria Purchases MiG-29 Engines from Russia
Bulgaria's Defense Ministry has signed a deal to acquire 10 MiG-29 engines from Russia, officials say.
The contract was signed with a Russian company which will deliver the first two repaired engines by April 30, 2017. Two engines are to be delivered to Bulgaria every month afterwards until all have been received.

Vgenopoulos faces felony charges over unsecured loan
The chairman of Marfin Investment Group (MIG) Andreas Vgenopoulos and 14 Marfin Bank executives were facing felony charges in connection to a loan allegedly granted to investment firm IRF, it emerged on Thursday. The firm is owned by shipowner Angeliki Frangou.
