Businessman arrested over debts of more than 34 mln euros
The 45-year-old managing director of a company in Thessaloniki was arrested on Saturday for debts to the state that exceed 34 million euros.
The man is involved in the aluminum trade.
Police did not give any more details.
Parts of Thessaloniki to have water cut off on Wednesday
Parts of central Thessaloniki will be left without water from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, the local water company (EYATH) said on Saturday.
EYATH said that the interruption would occur because it is laying new pipes.

Rape and assault charges brought against 35-year-old
A 35-year-old man has been arrested and remanded in custody in Thessaloniki on suspicion of assaulting two people in the northern port city after allegedly forcing his victims into his car and driving them to remote locations.
The man, identified by his initials S.E., reportedly attacked a woman on July 7, sexually assaulted her and stole 80 euros from her.
Thessaloniki man arrested again for blackmailing woman over alleged sex tape
A 51-year-old man was arrested on Thursday in the northern port city of Thessaloniki for allegedly blackmailing a 43-year-woman by saying he had a compromising video of her and would show it to her husband unless she gave him 500 euros.
