Kirov: Serbia is becoming regional factor in military terms
Former head of the Bulgarian national intelligence service, Kircho Kirov, thinks that Serbia is becoming "a regional military factor."
Beta agency reported this on Thursday, citing Kirov as saying that his country, as a NATO member, "has problems with its rearmament, while Serbia is receiving modern Russian combat equipment for free."
Russian S-400 air defense system purchase ‘most likely,’ Turkish minister confirms
Russia’s S-400 long-range air defense missile system is most likely to be selected for Turkey’s long-range anti-missile shield, Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Işık has said.
“Russia’s S-400 missile system seems to be the most possible in discussions. Some progress was obtained in the talks, but we are not at the stage of a signature yet,” Işık said Feb. 22 in a televised interview.

Germany to increase army to 198,000 by 2024 amid NATO spending row

Vice Admiral Eftimov: No Increased NATO Presence in Black Sea Region
There is no increased presence of NATO's forces in the Black Sea, stated interim head of defence Vice Admiral Emil Eftimov.
According to Eftimov, the focus right now is on training and exercises.
"We focused on optimising training and exercises conducted in the Black Sea region. We do not perceive an escalation or reinforcement in that presence," stated Eftimov.
Bulgaria's Radev: NATO Exercises in Black Sea No Threat To Tourism
The planned military training exercises of NATO in the Black Sea agreed at the meeting in Warsaw in July 2016 have nothing to do with the idea of the so-called Black Sea fleet.
These training exercises do not threaten "boats, yachts and tourism", wrote on Facebook Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev.
