Acclaimed Italian violinist Francesca Dego will appear at the Athens Concert Hall on Monday, October 8, and perform a recital of Eugene Ysaye's Sonata No 2 in A minor, Alfred Schnittke's A Paganini for solo violin and selections from Niccolo Paganini's 24 Caprices for Solo Violin.

İdil Biret celebrates 75th birthday
Turkish pianist İdil Biret's 75th birthday will be celebrated at a concert by the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra on Dec. 3 in Ankara.
At the concert, to be conducted by Rengim Gökmen, Biret will play Rachmaninov's "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op.43."

Japanese-American violinist Ryu Goto (photo) and the Athens State Orchestra led by Christoph Poppen will perform works by Mendelssohn, Paganini and Brahms at the Athens Concert Hall on Friday, May 13. Prices for tickets range from 10 to 25 euros (5 euros reduced). Starts at 8.30 p.m. while an introductory talk for ticket-holders will take place at 7.45 p.m.
