Summer with Engonopoulos, Lappas and nudes
There's an interesting lineup of art exhibitions scheduled around Greece this summer, and then of course there's documenta, which as well as its home city Kassel in Germany is also taking place at locations in Athens until mid-July. On the islands, several tributes have already launched, focusing mainly on painting and honoring the Greek sculptor George Lappas, who died last year.

Economist and academic Pepelasis dies aged 95
Adamantios Pepelasis, a Greek economics professor who taught at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, the University of California and the Athens University of Economics and Business, died on Saturday at the age of 95.

Golden Dawn MP accused of distributing racist material to pupils

Spain's Puig lands Greek cosmetics firm Apivita
Despite the compelling rumors, it is Spain's Puig and not France's L'Oreal that is the new owner of Greek natural cosmetics company Apivita, as the latter announced on Thursday.
The Spanish group will enter Apivita as a majority stakeholder via a share capital increase, bolstering the Greek firm's capital adequacy.
