Over 100 UK Students to Study Medicine in Bulgaria's Pleven

More than a hundred students from the United Kingdom were admitted to the Medical University in the Bulgarian city of Pleven.

The students will begin their six-year education programme which is taught in English in several days.

On Sunday the rector of the university will greet the new students at a special welcome event featuring a performance of the city's folklore ensemble.

Code Yellow Over Strong Wind Issued in 4 Bulgarian Districts

On Monday, Bulgaria's Independence Day, Code Yellow warning for strong winds was issued in four districts in the country, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology.

The warning is valid for the districts of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa and Pleven. The northwestern wind in these areas will increase overnight. Its speed will reach 15-20 m/s, Standart news informs.
