Tsipras welcomes Hollande, 'a true friend of Greece'
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Friday welcomed France's former president Francois Hollande at the Maximos Mansion in Athens describing him as "a true friend of Greece."
"I am very happy to see again a very good friend, a personal [friend] but most important, a very good friend of Greece," Tsipras said.
German president in Athens, meeting with counterpart Pavlopoulos
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier was in Athens on Thursday holding talks with his Greek counterpart Prokopis Pavlopoulos after laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Following his talks with Pavlopoulos, Steinmeier is due to meet Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at the Maximos Mansion at noon.
German, Greek presidents to meet in Athens on Thursday
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is due to hold talks in Athens on Thursday with his Greek counterpart Prokopis Pavlopoulos and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
The two men are to travel to Kalamata on Friday on the 74th anniversary of the liberation of Athens from German occupation, widely considered as the end of the Nazi occupation of Greece.

Greek PM to address Parliament on name deal on Friday
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will address Parliament on the name deal with Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) on Friday, according to reports.
Tsipras has reportedly informed Parliament speaker Nikos Voutsis.
Tsipras has no legitimacy to sign name deal, Mitsotakis tells President
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras does not have the political legitimacy to sign the name deal with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) for this is not approved by his junior government coalition partner, the Independent Greeks (ANEL), opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said during a meeting with President Prokopis Pavlopoulos on Wednesday.
On the way to the ballot box
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will have to make the big decision at some point this summer over whether to call elections for this fall or May next year. The leftist premier would certainly prefer to see through his four-year term; no one wants to give up the prime minister's chair unless they have had enough of power or are looking for an exit strategy.
