BELGRADE - The television crew behind a programme broadcast by Kanal 7, one of Turkey's most popular television stations, is in Serbia to present the country's tourism supply to its viewers.

The Turkish TV crew visited Serbia following a successful presentation of Serbia's tourism supply at an Istanbul fair, the National Tourism Organisation of Serbia said in a statement.

Japanese government makes another donation

BELGRADE -- The government of Japan will donate almost EUR 150,000 worth of equipment to the Mionica health center and to the Morava public utility company in Svilajnac.

The donation agreements were signed on Wednesday by Japanese Ambassador Masafumi Kuroki and the directors of the two institutions, Biljana Nikolic and Goran Bojic.

BELGRADE - Dutch company HPK Engineering BV, which was entrusted with the management and business consulting at the state-owned Zelezara Smederevo, has pledged that the steel mill will start to make profit in six months, keep the number of employees and increase salaries by 10 percent, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has said.

BELGRADE - The Serbian government has decided to entrust the management and consulting of the Smederevo Steelworks to the company HPK Engineering BV.

Party wants ministers sacked in wake of tragedy

Serbia has 36,000 landslide sites - minister

CACAK -- A total of 36,000 landslide sites have been registered in Serbia, Minister for Emergency Situations Velimir Ilic said on Thursday in Cacak, central Serbia.

He added he was worried that "new ones may appear once the snow melts."

BELGRADE - Head of the Serbian Interior Ministry crisis response sector Predrag Maric said on Tuesday the damage caused by the earthquake in Kosjeric should be repaired urgently, and that oil should be delivered to the snowbound areas in Serbia.
