Bulgaria Opens a New Section of Struma Motorway after Blagoevgrad

Bulgaria on 23rd of May opens the traffic on the newly built section of Struma motorway after Blagoevgrad before the future "Zheleznitsa" tunnel will be launched. This will facilitate the traffic, especially before the expected busy traffic to Southwestern Bulgaria and Greece for the coming weekends and the summer season, reports BNT.

 

Bulgaria's Road Agency Signed a 185 million BGN Contract For the Construction of the Longest Motorway in the Country

Bulgaria's road agency said on Tuesday it has signed a BGN185.4 million($106.9 million/94.8 million euro) contract with a local consortium for the construction of the 2 km Zheleznitsa tunnel on Struma motorway, which will be the country's longest, reported See News. 

Lyulin Motorway will be Part of Struma, Kalotina-Sofia Renamed to Europe Motorway

The Lyulin motorway will be part of the Struma motorway, while the Kalotina-Sofia road is renamed to Europe Motorway that will include the new beltway north of Sofia city. This is stipulated in a decision by which government reaffirmed the list of national roads and approved the list of national roads with tolls, the government press office said, reports Focus News Agency.
