The annual Vinyl Market at the Technopolis cultural complex celebrates all things music for three days, with great discounts on albums, CDs and posters, DJ sets and parallel events. Opening hours are 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free of charge.

Traditional music and dances, displays of breathtaking acrobatics and martial arts, workshops in calligraphy, kite-making, cooking and crafts and other displays make up the fun and educational program of events at the Technopolis complex marking Chinese New Year on Tuesday and Wednesday. Doors open daily at 11 a.m. and admission is free of charge.

The Technopolis cultural complex is hosting Raise Your Voice on Sunday, November 18. The festival is dedicated to civil society movements, and this year is focusing on the fight against human trafficking.

Thousands of records running the gamut from blues, jazz and funk to Latin, rock, pop and other genres will be on sale from October 5 to 7 at the annual Vinyl Market at the Technopolis cultural complex, with DJ sets providing a musical backdrop. The third annual Athens Coffee Festival returns to the Technopolis cultural complex in Gazi from Saturday, September 29, to Monday, October 1. The event will feature an array of brands and trends as well as seminars and workshops for all coffee-lovers. Admission costs 5 euros per day.

The Technopolis cultural complex in Athens celebrates gypsy jazz with a two-day festival named after the celebrated Romani-French guitarist and composer Jean "Django" Reinhardt on September 22 and 23. The event is centered around the later afternoon concerts on the festival's main stage, featuring a selection of local and foreign acts. These start at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 6.20 p.m. on Sunday.

Two of most prominent artists in Greece's art-house genre, Thanasis Papakonstantinou and Sokratis Malamas, are on tour promoting a joint recording project - "Me Stoma pou Yela" (With a Smiling Mouth), released in February to critical acclaim - and will be performing at the Technopolis complex on Monday, September 10, starting at 9 p.m.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association of Greece has organized a special event at the Technopolis complex to mark Duchenne Awareness Day on Friday, September 7.

British prog-rock act Steven Wilson, formerly of Porcupine Tree, comes to Athens with tracks from his fifth solo album, "To the Bone," and older work for a single show in Wednesday, July 25, at the Technopolis venue. Doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets cost 37-47 euros from www.viva.gr or tel 11876.

Italian reggae artist Alborosie brings his cool Caribbean sounds to Athens's Technopolis venue on Tuesday, July 24, with a perfect summer concert of older work as well as selected tracks from his sixth and latest album, "Alborosie Meets The Wailers United: Unbreakable," on which he collaborated with key members of Bob Marley's legendary band.
