Ministry unveils tech hub project at former Istanbul airport

The Industry and Technology Ministry has spearheaded the Terminal Istanbul project, aiming to transform the area of Atatürk Airport, which was decommissioned approximately five years ago, into a hub of technology and entrepreneurship through the establishment of centers within its terminal buildings.

Southern city gears up for 10th edition of Teknofest

Azerbaijan to host Teknofest this May

Teknofest, one of the world's biggest aviation, space and technology festivals, will hold its first edition abroad in the Azerbaijani capital Baku in May.

The four-day event that is scheduled to take place between May 26 and May 29 will feature 10 technology competitions in fields such as rockets, agriculture, and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Turkey’s largest tech event ends with dazzling shows

Teknofest, Turkey's largest technology and aerospace event, ended on Sept. 26 with breathtaking closing ceremonies and the dazzling coordinated performances of the Turkish air forces.

The five-day event held at Istanbul's Atatürk Airport included a host of activities such as air shows with warplanes and helicopters, seminars and summits, as well as competitions and fairs.

Turkish Nobel laureate attends Teknofest in Istanbul

Turkey's Nobel laureate in chemistry Aziz Sancar on Sept. 24 attended the top-notch technology event Teknofest, and said that it "made me really proud."

"I came here to promote science and technology in Turkey and the Turkish world. What I saw here really made me proud and encouraged me," he said in his address in Istanbul.
