Family with underground hideout arrested for breaching weapon laws
Members of a Corinthian family that lived in an underground hovel with a 30-meter-long tunnel were found to have stashed weapons in the structure, police said on Friday.

Police investigating a fire outside the Byzantine Museum of Thessaloniki that damaged four parked cars believe it to have been an act of arson.
The incident occurred at around 3.40 a.m. in the early hours of Friday at the museum's open-air parking lot.

Nine detained over torched cars in central Athens
Nine people were detained on Thursday following a fourth day in a row of arson attacks on cars in central Athens.
According to the police and fire service, four cars were torched at 3.40 a.m. on Karachristou Street, in the district of Kolonaki, three of which were completely destroyed and the fourth was seriously damaged.
Firemen were called in to put out the blaze.

Police on Monday were probing a series of overnight arson attacks in different parts of Attica.
The perpetrators targeted a car dealership, vehicles, a bank ATM and a cafe, causing damage but no injuries.

Two stores, one car targeted in overnight arson attacks in Athens
Two stores and one car were torched in the districts of Kipseli and Egaleo respectively early Thursday morning, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.
In the first attack, unknown assailants planted two incendiary devices at the entrance of a butcher shop and a store selling alarm systems on Agia Zoni Street, in the central district of Kipseli at 4.25 a.m.
Arson investigation after cars torched in Petralona, Maroussi, Aghios Dimitrios
Police in Athens are seeking the unidentified arsonists who torched four cars in the neighborhood of Petralona early Thursday morning.
The vehicles had been in the ground-floor parking area of an apartment block when the attack occurred, shortly after 3 a.m. according to witnesses.
Five suspects arrested over trouble at Thessaloniki rally granted release
Five self-styled anarchists who were detained after a police van was torched during a protest in Thessaloniki last Monday were released pending trial on Friday.
The five men had been taking part in a demonstration to protest an arson attack on Sunday by suspected far-rightists on the Libertatia squat, during a rally protesting the Macedonia name talks.

We are sick and tired of hearing why two historic cinemas in downtown Athens - the Apollon and the Attikon - have not been put back into operation five years after the buildings (not the cinemas themselves) were torched in a riot. We are sick and tired of hearing that the National Museum of Contemporary Art in the former Fix brewery is about to be inaugurated.

Patra police searching for serial arsonist
Police in Patra, western Greece, are searching for a serial arsonist, or arsonists, with a penchant for setting fires to parked cars and motorcycles. According to reports, two more motorcycles were torched Friday morning, while an attempt was made to set fire to a car.
Officers are investigating some 13 similar arson attacks carried out since last Sunday.
