French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said June 2 that 110 jihadists who left French territory to fight with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) had died in Iraq and Syria.

Britain is preparing to expand its military training mission in Iraq and increase the number of personnel helping ready the moderate Syrian opposition in Turkey, a British source familiar with the plan said on May 31.
