Gov’t to launch new effort for quake-proof cities: Erdoğan

The Turkish government will soon launch a new effort to build earthquake-proof and modern houses for the people under the urban transformation plan, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, vowing to finish the construction of new residential areas for the earthquake victims in one year.

"One-and-a-half months left to the elections, and our party building has been riddled with bullets from first to third floors following Recep's third threat," Aksener told a press conference after the attack.

Putin may attend Akkuyu Nuclear Plant inauguration: Erdoğan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Russian President Vladimir Putin may travel to Türkiye on April 27 to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant.

Speaking on a joint TV broadcast on March 29, Erdoğan said Türkiye is determined to proceed with the nuclear power plant project, despite objection from the opposition.
