French car parts maker Mecafor opens Serbia plant

A 4 mln euro plant built by French metal auto parts maker Mecafor was opened in Kikinda, northern Serbia, Thursday.

The ribbon was cut by Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic, French Ambassador Christine Moro and Kikinda Mayor Pavle Markov at a ceremony also attended by Mecafor owner and president of the board of directors, Nicholas Grosdidier.

PM defends Aleppo aid decision: "We sent blankets, not guns"

Aleksandar Vucic was in northern Serbia on Thursday where he and spoke about presidential elections and the decision to send humanitarian aid to Aleppo.

"I see there are many candidates, many parties, many other candidates," the prime minister and the leader of the ruling SNS said in Kikinda, where he attended the opening of a Mecafor car parts plant, and added:

Vucic: We will try to improve telecommunications agreement

SENTA - Serbia will continue the discussions with Pristina on the agreement on telecommunications and try to improve the situation, PM Aleksandar Vucic said Thursday.

"We will have many more contacts, we will talk to everyone, and try to see if there is anything we can improve or everything is set in stone, in layman's terms," Vucic told reporters in Senta, northern Serbia.
