Aleksandar Vucic has announced that defense industry factories will the coming period will receive direct financial assistance in the amount of EUR 43 million.

The money will come from the national budget, the government announced on its website.

"If someone is crazy enough to make his airspace available to a third country willing to attack Serbia, we have a missile capable of knocking out all major cities in the region," Miroslav Lazanski, a military observer with the Belgrade-based newspaper Politika, told Sputnik Serbia.

Suspect in airport weapons theft arrested

BELGRADE -- A man suspected of stealing a shipment of weapons from Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport was arrested late on Thursday, B92 learned.

He admitted to the theft after taking a polygraph test.

The suspect also showed the police where he hid the weapons, which he stole in June.
