Automatic weapons stolen from Belgrade airport

BELGRADE -- B92 has unofficially learned that 20 pieces of automatic weapons are missing from the storage area at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla International Airport.

The weapons in question, known as "scorpions" (škorpioni), were stored in two boxes since April of this year, according to this.

The theft was discovered on Wednesday.

The weapons belonged to the Yugoimport SDPR company and were supposed to be shipped to a buyer abroad, who in the meantime withdrew from the deal.

The police are investigating the scene.
