Verdict in Rompetrol case; Senator Rosca Stanescu - two years, four months in prison

National Liberal Party (PNL) Senator Sorin Rosca Stanescu received a definitive sentence of two years, four months imprisonment, issued by the Bucharest Court of Appeals, while former Communications Minister Sorin Pantis received a two year, eight months imprisonment sentence.

Sorin Rosca Stanescu has received a sentence of one year for using privileged information and two years for taking part in an organised crime ring. The sentences are to run concurrently, with an addition of four months being imposed on the larger sentence to result the final sentence of two years and four months.
