Former PSD MP Viorel Hrebenciuc, in preventive detention for 30 days

The magistrates of the High Court of Cassation and Justice have decided on Wednesday morning to hold Viorel Hrebenciuc in preventive detention for thirty days, following his charging in the restitutions case.

The decision is not binding.

Hrebenciuc is being charged with forming an organised crime ring, trafficking and buying influence, money laundering, using influence to obtain undue gains and instigating the use of influence by a person holding a leadership position in a party in order to obtain undue gains for himself or others.
