Six released in Thessaloniki over riot charges

Six people who were detained in connection with violent clashes in Thessaloniki last Saturday on the sidelines of a demonstration marking the anniversary of the police killing of a teenager in central Athens were released Tuesday after facing a prosecutor.

Two of the youths were freed without any conditions while the other four were freed on the condition that they report regularly to their local police precinct.

All the suspects denied any wrongdoing.
