First Cases of African Swine Fever Found in Four Wild Boars in Dobrich

First cases of infection with African swine fever virus (ASF) were found in four wild boars in Dobrich region (Northeastern Bulgaria). They were shot in a hunting farm on the land of the village of Bulgarevo, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) announced on 1st of November, reports BNT. 

Switzerland to Lift Limits on Romanian and Bulgarian Workers Next Year

President Alain Berset has said Switzerland will lift restrictions next year on Romanians and Bulgarians who want to work in the country. Berset said on Thursday in Bucharest that the current limits imposed on Romanian and Bulgarian workers will end next May, RT reports.

South Korea and Bulgaria Hold Talks on Closer Economic Cooperation

Senior trade officials from South Korea and Bulgaria held talks on how to promote closer cooperation on economic and energy matters, officials said Frida, reports Yonhap News Agency. 

It was the first time in seven years that the two nations had held such talks, South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said.

Manhunt under way for toll booth robbers

Police in central Greece are looking for two men who held up a toll station in Tragana, north of Thiva, and briefly kidnapped an employee as part of their getaway on Thursday night.

The incident occurred at around 10.30 p.m. and police have set up roadblocks across the region in the search for the red Citroen C2 the robbers used to flee after their holdup.
