Knapp: Serbian economy needs Vucic's measures

BELGRADE - Head of the Delegate Office of German Industry and Commerce for Serbia Martin Knapp said Friday that the austerity measures presented by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic are necessary for the country's economy, adding that state bankruptcy would be much worse than the agressive cuts, however difficult they may be for the citizens.

Krulj: Vucic shows determination, responsibility to country

BELGRADE - Advisor of the Serbian minister for EU integration Vladimir Krulj stated on Friday that his first impression is that Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic demonstrated great determination and responsibility to the country when presenting the reform measures to the public, although some of these are likely to be interpreted as unpopular.

Heavy machines deployed in eastern Serbia

BELGRADE - Heavy machines and engineering units of the Serbian Armed Forces were deloyed in eastern Serbia on Friday to help repair the damage caused by floods and landslides.

The situation is still very difficult in the village of Grabovac, where the water from the local resoervoir is receding slowly, head of the Interior Ministry crisis sector Predrag Maric has stated.

Vulin: Tough, but only solution
