Germany kicks off celebrations Friday marking the 25th anniversary of the epochal fall of the Berlin Wall, set to culminate with rock stars and veteran freedom activists joining a millions-strong crowd.
'Freedom Run' To Mark Berlin Wall Fall In Sofia, Varna
The 25-th anniversary of the fall of the Beriln Wall on November 9 will be marked by a "Freedom Run" in Sofia and Varna, organised by the German embassy to Bulgaria.
The participants in Sofia can choose between a 5 km run and a 2 km walk. The start is at 2 PM on November 9, in front of the Berlin Wall piece in the park of the National Palace of Culture (NDK).

Dacic to attend W. Balkans conference in Berlin Wednesday
BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, who is also foreign minister, will on Wednesday attend the 6th conference of foreign ministers of Western Balkan states, to be held in Berlin under the auspices of the German and British foreign ministers, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Philip Hammond.
Firea (PSD): There are suspicions of fraud in Berlin, Paris and Chisinau polling stations
The Social Democrat Party (PSD) draws attention "on some suspicions of vote-rigging attempts in polling stations in Berlin, Paris and Chisinau", said on Sunday Social Democrat deputy chairperson Gabriela Firea.
She said PSD demanded the chairmen of voting sections in the diaspora to show "maximum vigilance,", especially in Paris and Berlin.
