Bulgarian town of Kavarna is a positive example in the EU for Roma inclusion, President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso said, Friday.

The Black Sea town of Kavarna was named along with Berlin (Germany), Montreuil (France) and Craiova (Romania) at the European Roma Summit dedicated to the integration of the largest minority in the EU.

BELGRADE - German Ambassador to Serbia Heinz Wilhelm said on Thursday Germany was satisfied with Serbia's stand concerning the situation in Crimea, and that he personally understood Belgrade's position.

"Germany expects Serbia to implement Brussels agreement"

BELGRADE -- German Ambassador Heinz Wilhelm says a possible change of the Serbian Constitution and adoption of a new Kosovo resolution was "an internal affair of Serbia."

He pointed out that his country was interested primarily in the implementation of the Brussels agreement.

In an open letter sent to US Vice President Joseph Biden on Tuesday, timed to coincide with his expected meeting with Djuknovic on April 8, the signatories of the letter told Biden that Milo Djukanovic represents "the antithesis of democracy, rule of law and the fundamental values of Western civilization.

Germany is footing much of the bill for Greece's 237 billion euro bailout but Athens-trained dentist Aristomenis Syngelakis feels no gratitude; Berlin owes his country billions in reparations for Nazi crimes during World War Two, he says.

Germany's leader has given a cautious thumbs-up to Albania's application to obtain EU candidate status, while declining to commit Germany one way or the other ahead of an important report.

“We treat countries on the EU path based on the reports coming from the European Commission,” Chancellor Merkel told a press conference in Berlin held with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Rama will hold talks with German Chancellor Merkel in Berlin, the speaker of the German parliament and the head of the Christian Democratic Union’s parliamentary group.

Rama is also expected to meet the Deputy Chancellor and Economy Minister, Sigmar Garbiel.

The eurozone is not making any preparations for a third bailout for Greece and will consider it only if expressly asked by Athens, which has not happened so far, a senior eurozone official said on Thursday.
