Sertic backs stronger economic cooperation in region
BELGRADE - Economies in the region need to set up stronger ties in order to achieve economic growth, Serbian Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic underscored in the talks with AmCham representatives from the Western Balkans on Wednesday.

Greece at the bottom of corruption index among EU peers
Greece scored 43 out of 100 points on the perception of corruption scale published by Berlin-based NGO Transparency International on Wednesday, but showing that it has made some progress from last year when it scored 40 points.

BERLIN -- The German government welcomed the progress Serbia made, country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement given to Tanjug over the weekend.
It noted at the same time that Berlin "will back the opening of negotiating chapters as soon as the conditions set by the EU are fulfilled."
