Hit video game ‘Assassin’s Creed’ adapted to cinema

‘Assassin’s Creed’, the huge action-adventure stealth video game with nearly 40 million die-hard fans will be adapted to the silver screen by director Justin Kurzel. German actor Michael Fassbender will bring the fictional character Callum Lynch to life as he explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar in 15th Century Spain.

Moving Image offers new media tour of Istanbul

New media fair Moving Image, organized simultaneously with ArtInternational, welcomes artists for the second time in Istanbul. Orozobekov, the co-founder of the fair, expects a high number of visitors. This year Moving Image is presenting single-channel works and major installations from 20 artists during the Art International fair.

Istanbul's ArtInternational contemporary art fair launches third edition

The third edition of Istanbul's global contemporary and modern art fair will open at the Haliç Congress Center on Sept. 4 welcoming both local and international VIP visitors.

The fair will feature 87 galleries this year, representing 27 countries and presenting works by more than 400 of world's most innovative artists.

Bulgaria's Veselin Topalov Retains Leadership Position in Grand Chess Tour

Bulgaria's chess grandmaster Veselin Topalov retained the leadership position in the Grand Chess Tour and tops the current standing despite finishing seventh in the Sinquefield Cup.

Topalov is unchallenged at the top with 17 points, followed by Hikaru Nakamura from the US with 16 points and the Armenian Levon Aronian with 15 points.

Seven suspects from Gülen-linked Koza ?pek companies released

Seven suspects, who were detained as part of the operation launched against Koza ?pek, a company linked to the Turkish government?s ally-turned-nemesis Fethullah Gülen, have been released on probation. 

An Ankara court on Sept. 2 decided to release on probation the seven suspects detained during the Koza ?pek raids.
