Voting ended on February 10 and after more than 288,000 votes, Zadar in Croatia was elected Best European Destination 2016.

Plovdiv is the only Bulgarian city nominated for participation in the seventh edition of the competition for the title of Best European Destination 2016.

Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka has suggested that a "reserve border system" should be set up along the Bulgaria-Macedonia border if Turkey or Greece fail to regulate the influx of migrants into Europe.

Champions League Trophy Embarks on Tour in Three Bulgarian Cities
The UEFA Champions League trophy arrived in Bulgaria on Wednesday, where it it will embark on a tour around the country, visiting three cities in the next ten days.
The trophy will be first on display for two days in Sofia, before heading for the Black Sea coast, where it will be exhibited in Burgas and Varna for two days in each city.
